For health strengthening
- Brew
Place 3 to 4 slices of Linzhi in a cup Chinese wolfberry or ‘kei chee’ and red dates. Add boiling water and brew. Cover cup for 10 to 12 minutes. The brew is best serve hot and continue brewing once or twice.
- Decoction
5 grams sliced Lingzhi , Chinese wolfberry or ‘kei chee’ and red dates. 4 bowls of water, simmer for 30 minutes and discard sediments. Regular and constant consumption of Lingzhi helps to strengthen health.
- Chicken Stew
5 grams sliced Lingzhi , ½ chicken , 3 bowls of water to be stewed, Chinese wolfberry or ‘ kei chee ‘ and red dates. Add a pinch of salt if necessary and serve the stew hot. This recipe helps to strengthen health while preserving youthful appearance and fine complexion.
For disease treatment
10 grams of sliced Lingzhi , 6 bowls of water. Then boil them over high heat then decoct it into 3 bowls. Distribute it into 2 or 3 servings. Serve on an empty stomach and it tastes a little bitter. A bit of liquorice or honey can be added if desired. Decoct again by adding water to the sediments and serve as tea.
Note : For optimum result, use earthen pot and not metal utilities.

Recommended daily dosage for dried Lingzhi are as follows :-
- 1 to 2 grams for healthy maintenance;
- 2 to 5 grams for specific ailments e.g. feeling lethargic or tired and;
- 5 to 10 grams and up to 50 grams for serious ailments e.g. in combination with cancer therapy.
